Coronavirus in India: In the last 24 hours, there have been 3,49,691 new cases of corona infection a day in the country. No country has had so many cases of corona in a single day so far. A total of 1,69,60,172 people have been infected with Corona so far with these new cases. There are currently over 26 lakh active cases in the country. During this period, the death toll from the epidemic in the country increased to 1,92,311, with 2,767 deaths.
According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Sunday, currently, active cases have increased to 26,82,751 in the country. This is 15.82 percent of the total cases. The recovery rate has come down to 83.05 percent and the death rate to 1.13 percent. Till date, 1,40,85,110 people have outperformed the disease.
In India, on August 7, the number of corona infections crossed 20 million. Similarly, on 23 August, 30 lakhs, 40 lakhs on 5 September, 50 lakhs on 16 September and crossed 1 crore on 19 December. On 19, the number of infected crossed 1.5 million.
17.19 lakh and samples tested
According to ICMR, 27,79,18,810 samples have been tested in the country till 25 April. On Saturday alone, 17,19,588 cases were investigated.
Maharashtra has the Highest number of Deaths Due to Coronavirus
Of the 2,767 new people who died in the country from Corona, 676 people are from Maharashtra alone. This was followed by 222 from Uttar Pradesh, 218 from Chhattisgarh, 208 from Karnataka, 152 from Gujarat and 110 from Jharkhand, and 104 from Madhya Pradesh. There have been 1,92,311 deaths in the country so far, of which 63,928 from Maharashtra, 14,283 from Karnataka, 13,475 from Tamil Nadu, 13,898 from Delhi, 10,959 from Uttar Pradesh, 10,884 from Bengal, 8,356 from Punjab, and 7,616 from Andhra Pradesh.
74% share of 10 states in new cases
Of the nearly three and a half lakh new cases of corona reported in the last 24 hours, 74 percent of the cases are in the most affected states like Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. Other states included in this list are Karnataka, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Bengal Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Rajasthan. According to the Health Ministry, there were 67,160 new cases in Maharashtra, 37,944 in Uttar Pradesh and 29,438 new cases in Karnataka.
Uncontrolled state of Maharashtra, 832 people lost their lives; More than 66 thousand new cases
The tsunami of coronavirus in Maharashtra has made the situation worse. Despite the ‘break the chain’ implemented by the Uddhav government till May 1, more than 60 thousand new cases are coming up every day. On Sunday, the death toll has crossed 800. During this period 61,450 people have recovered from the disease. At the same time, the death toll has been 832. The number of dead in the state is increasing daily, due to which concerns have increased. The total number of active cases has increased to 6,98,354 after the new cases. So far, 35,30,060 have been cured. At the same time, the total number of deaths has reached 64,760.
