Twitter Clarified why Blue Tick was Removed from the Account of M. Venkaiah Naidu

New Delhi: The matter of removing Blue Tick from the Twitter account of Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is in a discussion. Shortly after, Twitter restored the Blue Tick of these accounts. It is being told as the result of the reprimand of the Center but Twitter has now given the real reason for this.

Why Remove Blue Tick?
In the controversy that erupted after the removal of Blue Tick from the Twitter account of Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Twitter said that if the account is incomplete. If it is or does not remain active for six months, then under the rules, the Blue Badge (Twitter Blue Tick) is automatically removed.

Blue tick was removed from his account
The blue badge on the personal account of Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu was removed by Twitter on Saturday morning and later reinstated. The personal account of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat also did not have a blue badge and it was later restored. The same happened with many other prominent figures of the Sangh such as Suresh Joshi and Arun Kumar.

It is necessary to login once in this time
Twitter said on Saturday that the microblogging platform automatically removes blue badges if an account becomes in-active or is incomplete as part of its verification policy. Twitter said, ‘Removal of blue ticks is associated with login. To keep the account active, a person needs to log in at least once in six months.

Under the rules, people with accounts must ensure that their profile is complete and includes either a verified e-mail or phone number, as well as a profile photo and name. However, Twitter does not disclose account details or numbers under the rules. People believe that the ‘Blue Badge’ shows the authenticity of the account.
