Arsenal have entered the race to sign Las Palmas attacker Alberto Moreilo during the January transfer window, according to Calciomercato.
The north London giants are targeting marquee signings for the New Year, but they are also on the look out for upcoming talents across the world.
Moreilo has apparently caught their radar over the past few weeks, and Calciomercato claim that they could compete with Barcelona for him.
The youngster has been dubbed as the new Pedri in Spain. He plays in a different position, but is said to have the same level of potential.
Moreilo, who recently made his Spain Under-21 debut, can feature in multiple roles. He can operate as a winger on both sides or as a number 10.
He is unlikely to come for cheap this winter. It may take a package of around €25m with add-ons included to persuade Las Palmas to sell.
Barcelona have the upper hand over the Gunners for the 19-year-old but the London giants will be hoping to convince him to join them in January.
