Barcelona are reportedly keeping tabs on Arsenal youngster Charlie Patino with his contract expiring next summer.
The youngster made his Gunners debut during the previous campaign, but was not deemed ready enough to become a regular.
Hence, he was loaned out to Blackpool this season where he has caught the eye with two goals and two assists from 16 outings.
It is now reported by Mundo Deportivo that Barcelona are watching his development and manager Xavi is a big admirer.
As things stand, the Catalan can negotiate terms with him in January, but the Gunners are still in a strong position to keep him.
Patino’s current deal expires in June 2023, but the club have the option to extend his stay by another two years via a clause.
It is expected that the hierarchy will trigger the option. Mikel Arteta will decide the best course of action for Patino this summer.
Arteta may opt to reintegrate him into the squad for next season.
