Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier next summer.
The Frenchman has developed into one of the Premier League’s best shot-stoppers and he has been touted for a bigger challenge.
Foot Mercato now claim that United and Chelsea are both keen on landing his services and there could be a bidding battle for him.
United are currently eyeing a new keeper with better distribution and mobility than David de Gea whose contract expires in June.
Meslier would be an ideal long-term acquisition for them, but the big question is how much Leeds could demand for his services.
He was valued in the region of £25 million last summer, but the fee could potentially raise to £40m amid the vast interest in him.
Bayern Munich and Juventus have also been linked with the 22-year-old.
