HAMILTON: The Indian women’s cricket team won the World Cup League match against Bangladesh by 110 runs.
The Women’s World Cup cricket tournament is being held in New Zealand. In these tournaments, in which 8 teams participate, each team must face the other team once. The teams that finish in the top 4 in terms of points at the end of the league matches will qualify for the semifinals. The Indian team is in 4th place with 2 wins and 3 defeats in 5 matches. The Indian team clashed with Bangladesh today (March 22) in a situation where they have to win the remaining 2 matches.
The Indian women’s team won the toss and elected to bat first in the league match at Hamilton. Smriti Mandana and Shabali Verma started the pair. After getting off to a somewhat good start, Mandana (30), Shabali (42) and Mithali Raj (0) were the next to miss. Yastika Patiya was the only batsman to score a fifty.
