Today Birthday of Ajinkya Rahane, See what Many Players including BCCI said on Twitter

Today Birthday of Ajinkya Rahane

Indian team batsman Ajinkya Rahane has turned 33 today i.e. on June 6, 2021. The work that Rahane has done for the country so far is incomparable. Especially in Test cricket, he has emerged on the field as a reliable player as well as a better captain. He has pulled the Indian team out of trouble at a time when no cricket pundit in the world expected from the Indian team.

After IPL 2020, the Indian team went on a tour of Australia, where the host Kangaroo team won the ODI series. At the same time, India won the T20 series. After this, India’s four-match Test series with Australia began. The first match was played in Adelaide. Everything was fine till the first innings, but in the second innings, captain Virat Kohli’s team was bundled out for just 36 runs. This was captain Kohli’s last match on the Australia tour.

BCCI wished Ajinkya Rahane on his birthday and shared the video of the match against South Africa saying “Sit back and enjoy one of your finest centuries against South Africa”.

Yesterday on Environment Day, Ajinkya Rahane tweeted and wrote that “Let us continue to contribute in our capacity to maintain our precious Mother Earth”

Captain Virat Kohli had returned to India to be with wife Anushka, as Anushka was about to give birth to her first child. On the other hand, the Indian team was in rhythm by defeating West Indies, South Africa and Bangladesh, but the team’s morale fell after being all out for 36 runs in the first test match. Simultaneously, Mohammed Shami was also out of the Test series. In such a situation, the coming three matches were a challenge for captain Ajinkya Rahane.

Captain Rahane accepted the challenge and pulled the team out of trouble. Even in the second match played in Melbourne, the team won by 8 wickets. Thus the series became even. The third match was played in Sydney, which ended in a draw. If apart from Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin, Hanuma Vihari had been 100 per cent right, then the third Test match would have been won. At the same time, India won the fourth match of the series by a margin of 3 wickets and won the series.

Captain Rahane has won three out of four matches while captaining against Australia. Apart from this, Ajinkya Rahane also won the team against Afghanistan under his captaincy. In this way, while captaining the Test, he has not lost a match so far. They have won four out of 5 matches and one match ended in a draw. Apart from this, he has also captained Rajasthan Royals in IPL and has won all the matches.

Ajinkya Rahane holds a world record in Test cricket as a fielder. He holds the record of catching the most number of catches in a Test match as a fielder. He took 8 catches against Sri Lanka in a Test match in 2015. They are followed by Greg Chappell and Yajurwinder Singh, who have taken 7-7 catches in a Test match. Not only this, Ajinkya Rahane is one of the few players who have scored 2 centuries in IPL.
